Introduction
Zotasell Inc. (“Zotasell”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) operates:
(a) the website located at www.zotasell.com (the “Site”), and
(b) the Zotasell platform that enables merchants to implement AI-powered upselling and cross-selling solutions (the “Platform”).
When we refer to the Services throughout this Privacy Policy, we mean the Site, the Platform, and any other products, features, or applications provided by us that include a link and/or reference to this Privacy Policy, as well as any related services and/or functionality we make available.
This Privacy Policy describes Zotasell’s data collection, use, protection, and privacy practices with respect to information and data we may collect in connection with the following activities:
- When visiting and/or browsing the Site.
- Submitting information via our forms (e.g., newsletter sign-up, pricing inquiry).
- Installing or using the Zotasell app on your eCommerce store.
- Interacting with our support team or requesting assistance.
- Using any of the features or tools provided through the Platform.
Information We Collect
Zotasell does not provide account registration on our website. Therefore, we do not create customer accounts directly on zotasell.com.
We only collect merchant information in the following cases:
- Newsletter Subscription: when you voluntarily submit your email to join our newsletter.
- Request Forms: when you submit your email or details in our pricing/request forms.
- App Installation: when you install a Zotasell app/plugin on your store, or manually embed our code.
Emails & Communication
- If you join our newsletter or submit a request form, we may contact you with updates, product news, or promotional information.
- If you install Zotasell, we may send essential service-related emails (e.g. setup guides, billing notices, usage over-limit alerts).
- You may unsubscribe at any time via the unsubscribe link in our promotional emails. Essential system notifications cannot be unsubscribed.
- Our email service provider (e.g. Mailchimp) may use web beacons to track open rates and improve communication analytics.
Cookies & Tracking
- We follow Google’s recommendations for remarketing to website visitors.

Payments
- All payments are handled securely via Shopify or FastSpring (GDPR & PCI compliant).
- Zotasell does not store or have access to your credit card details.
Customer Data Processing
- When visitors submit information via a Zotasell tool on a merchant’s website, Zotasell processes and forwards this data to the merchant.
- Data is temporarily stored (for up to 90 days) for the merchant to download.
- Sensitive or financial data should not be collected through Zotasell tools.
- Zotasell never sells or shares merchant or customer data with third parties, except as required by law.
Data Backups & Retention
- Merchant and customer data is backed up for 30 days for reliability.
- If a deletion request is made, data will be removed from primary servers immediately and from backups within 30 days.
Security & Access
- Zotasell uses dedicated servers accessible only by authorized employees.
- Employees may only access merchant data in limited cases (bug fixing, recovery).
- We do not use sub-processors except for approved payment providers.
- Zotasell maintains appropriate technical and organizational safeguards to protect your data.
GDPR Compliance
- Zotasell operates with fewer than 200 employees but complies with GDPR best practices.
- Merchants may be required to list Zotasell as a “data processor” on their own privacy pages.
Transfer of Data
If Zotasell is acquired or merged, merchants will be notified in advance before any data policy changes take effect.
